I found a place that still offers up Mai HiME. Oh my gosh I love the first episode so much. I can't wait to watch the rest of the series. I wish I could bring myself to watch this stuff without my bro, though. Lately he's been holding me back  Neutral

We watched the latest Episodes of Honey & Clover today, too. That show is just too freakin' funny. It has such a nice balance between the drama and the funny stuff. It's kind of frustrating, though, in that I just want SOMEONE to get together with someone that they like. Oh well.

hmmm... i could have sworn i posted about watching Rizelmine a while back...
maybe it was in the other thread. Anyways, i haven't watched a whole heck
of a lot recently (mainly due to the fact the internet connection for the
house has been crap-ass slow the past month), but i did watch the first 6
episodes of Ebichu.  Honestly, i don't really see what all the fuss is about.
Alot of folks i know swear by it, but i just don't find it all that hilarious. i admit
there were a few points that made me giggle, but i just wasn't all that keen
on it.
Now, since i got my paycheck for the temp job i was doing this past month,
i promptly went out and bought a whole stack of manga. yeah, i probably
shold have saved money for food or whatever, but dammit, it's my birthday
this month and goddammit i was gonna buy me some presents.  So i picked
up most of what i'm reading at the moment (well, at least all of those that
had new volumes out - which included Full Metal Panic, Hellsing, Mahoromatic,
All New Tenchi Muyo, Shaman King & Battle Angel Alita)  i'm still waiting for
the new Rune Soldier Louie (which i'm pretty sure has a new volume out, but
they didn't have it at my regular store. i may have to go hunt for it), and
i'm pretty sure Hikaro no Go doesn't come out until later this month.

Oh my gosh! Did you guys know there's a second season of sorts to Mai HiME? It's called Mai Otome. I found the first episode through animesuki and downloaded it on a whim. I didn't think it'd actually be the second season. Well, supposedly it's the second season. It's definitely done in the same animation style.

Okay, it looks like it's listed on animesuki as Mai Otome, but the title screen of the anime says Mai HiME, well, actually there's a character, then what looks like a giant Z, then HiME.

I don't know, I haven't really gotten to watch it yet. From the opening and the opening sequence it looks like it's another series from the creators using a lot of the same people, kind of like Tenchi.

Well, it looks like Mai Otome is an AU of Mai HiME. Some of the people are the same, but it looks like the main characters are different, and it takes place in a different world, looks like. It's cool to see some of the people from Mai HiME in different roles, though.

Also, I finally got to see Mai HiME all the way to the end. Man, I was worried there for a bit, but it's nice to finally catch an anime that actually concludes and has a decent ending.

the name sounds familiar, but i don't think i've ever seen it.

right now, my housemate has us watching Star Ocean XP.
Pretty standard fantasy-adventure RPG story (and seeing as
how it's based off an console RPG, that's no surprise)

I stole music from Star Ocean for one of the best doom levels i've ever made. If you played it right it even went to 'underwatery' music in the section where you went underwater, good timing XD

I caught the first episode of Air and was pleasantly surprised. After seeing all the promo pics of it I thought it was going to be all super girly, and possibly like Kannazuki no Miko where all the girls are gay. I also thought it was going to be really serious. Nope, all the girls are weirdos and airheads, because or in spite of all looking exactly the same but with different hair styles. The first episode is really funny, so I'm hoping that the rest is, too. It's only 13 episodes, though, so I'm not sure how long the humor will last before it climaxes and concludes. I'm downloading the rest of the series now.

I've also been trying to watch Mahou Sensei Negima. It's okay, but I liked Love Hina more. Then again, we're only up to episode 3, so we'll see how things go from there. After we catch up with Naruto.

Honey & Clover ended!  Crying Crying Crying Crying And it didn't resolve anything for anyone. I was disappointed. It's still one of my favorite anime, though.

Full Moon wo Sagashite is really cute. It's about this girl who promised the boy she liked that she would work toward fulfilling her dream of becoming a singer by the time they meet up again. Only thing is, she has throat cancer. A couple of shinigami show up to tell her she only has a year left to live, and the girl convinces them to help her work toward her goal since she doesn't have much time left.

I think that's it. Yay for the internet!

I only read a few mangas, except my Akira collection I tried some World of Warcraft manga but it was a disappointment.
For the screen, I have some of the old school animes like Captain Future, Saber Rider, Galaxy Rangers, Miyuki and some series I don't know the english titles
Newer ones I love are:
all the Hayao Miyazaki movies
Cowboy Bebop series (awesome, with the most dramatic end ever seen on this side of the universe, imho; and a cool soundtrack)
Ghost in the shell
The new Appleseed movie, even if it's a cgi anime, but it looks great and  is imho much better than the original anime
Starship Troopers cgi-series (older, but still cool)
Record of Lodoss War series
Neon genesis evangelion series (not so sure about that one, part of it is pretty weird imho)
Full Metal Panic series(even less sure about that one, stopped looking it around episode 5)

Well, thanks to the magic land of torrents and fast internet connections I've gainned access to some new anime. If you havn't seen GunslingerGirl I'd highly recomend it. Seems a bit cheesy but you end up loving it by the end and wanting it to continue.

I've also picked up the full Full Metal Alchemist series. Great stuff, you don't want it to end either but it ends in a sort of unfufilled way as well. The viewer is left as the only one knowing the full story and it kinda stucks that way. See it.

Lain, a classic so I'd figure I'd pick it up as well. It's just as strange as what I had heard about it, leaves you with a warm feeling at the very end. Definitely manatory view if you pick it up for free (or pay for it, it's a short series).

I've picked up a few others: Kiddy Grade, Samurai7, Card Captor Sakura (stop laughing), Robot Tech, Lodoss War, and I'm working on Exel Saga right now. I got to pick up Bubblegum Crisis and a few of the many Gundam series before I'm caught up on what I want to see. (there are a few others but I havn't found torrents for them)  pirate
