hmmmm... for some reason or another, the Ceberus theme was malfunctioning.
i dunno what was going on with the theme files, but i reset everyone to the default, just in case.
sorry for any inconvenience.

the thing i don't understand is that i haven't done anything to the code,
so why would it just start acting up now?
