Rudy, how did your comic turn out? I actually did it this year too. Came out pretty good. I am just happy I finished with time to spare. I will post some pages here eventually. Do a low-res web version of it.

uhhh... it's not until this weekend, so i haven't actually done it yet.
Did you have to do yours early or something?  Confused
i may post it up on the web, but i'm not sure. See, the deal is if
i finish, it'll be included in the book that our venue is going to publish.
And i don't recall if there's going to be an exclusivity clause or not.
And besides, i have an "agreement" to not do a Deathworld comic,
so it wouldn't really fit in on the comic website anyways.

Not Deathworld? Oh goodness. What have you got cooking in that brain of yours instead?

Might I suggest Egglord vs. The Time Barons?

without going into details (mainly because i won't know them myself until Saturday!), i'm going to attempt a "spirited away" story, much along the lines of Alice & Wonderland, Dorothy & Oz, or any of the other archtypical "young girl swept away into a fantasy realm" stories. i've got a couple of characters designed (done in a chibi-style), and right now i'm trying to decide if i'm going to go wordless or not. it's a tough call.

Yeah we did ours early because of the anime convention this weekend. Of which I will be reading it at between the 4 and 5pm hours on Saturday.

Good luck to you!

well, i've been feeling like crap all day today - i'm hoping it was because i was riding my bike around yesterday twice as much as i usually do and i'm just suffering fatigue from that. But yeah, i'm hoping to finish - or at least do my very best.

well, everything went smashingly well. Got it done in 23hrs, 15min - and spent the last 45 minutes erasing all the pencil lines. and then the caffiene and other energy-drink stimulants caught up with me and tried to destroy my stomach with acid reflux. ouch.

Hmm, i managed one page pencilled with two frames inked, but those two frames feature a sailing ship in a storm so it felt like i'd done 24 pages XD. Ah well, next year maybe i'll try it for real real XD

I will eventually put up a version on the web and then offer them up for a couple bucks per comic. Supposedly Mile High Comics will be selling them too.
