Poll
Question: What would you prefer I do when I'm running late with the comic?
Just leave the last one up until you're done.
Put up a pinup/sketch and note until you're done.
Post the black & white version as soon as it's done.
I don't really care, it's your decision.
You suck for not being able to update twice a week in a timely fashion.

i've been wondering if i could get some input on this matter from you all,
seeing as how i seem to have difficulty getting comics done "on time".
If you have any other comments or suggestions feel free to post them.

(and sorry, but if you're not already a member of the Deathboard, you'll

I voted for "Leave the last one up til you're done the next one".  You're entertaining us dude, so if I visit and there's no new comic, you can count on me to come back and check later.

Hello!

Just do whatever you want, it's your site! (and a good one too eh!)
And anyway, it's always entertaining to see your little "comic will be late" message.

By the way, I started looking at web comic about 6 years ago, and this is the only one I followed through all these years. (Ok, I just don't remember when I started looking at yours, but for a long time).

So anyway... I guess all I want to say is: Keep up the good work!

Very Happy

LOL at having to sign up for the forum to post a reply, well I guess it does show I like your comic Smile, and it is your comic so I think you should get to decide what to do except stop writing it. I hate to tell you, but you are in it for the long haul. Smile
PS. if I have to go to the trouble of signing up for the forum I'm putting myself on the map. although they don't list the village I live in which has a couple of hundred people but list the place names around it that have 2 people living there.
anyway keep up the good work.

well, you didn't have to register to simply respond (see RedheadAD's post),
but yeah, to use the poll you had to. Nothing i could do about that. i've even had
one guy email me his opinions about the "late" updates, so really, anyone can
participate. Thanks for using the Map though. Nice to see a few more Canadians!

actually, it isn't all that much extra work to post the "raw" scan.
i just do it so that i have something up and done before i head off to sleep
(seeing as how i'm usually up til midnight or later before i finish)

I voted "I don't care it's your decision" because it doesn't really matter to me what you do between the first three. I've been reading the comic for years now, a late comic or two isn't going to stop me now  Love

If you need the sleep take it man. Your call, your comic. If you ain't getting paid then you don't have to do anything (unless your bound by morals). Late comics are fine with me.

I voted for 'leave the last one up until you get the new one done'.  As long as I've read your comic, I'm not going to take you off my bookmark list for missing an update.  It's not like we pay you to do it.

well, it's cool that i've been able to get some feedback on this issue.
likely, i'll just keep with the "post B&W comics as soon as i finish scanning, then color them ASAP" method.

in case you're curious, the whole reason i did this poll was because a comic listing site (theWebComicsList.com) went and flagged my comic as "not worth checking for updates", even though several other comics i know of on that list, that update far more sporadically than mine, have not. it got me wondering what the "average" reader thought about DW since i started having problems updating at the "standard" midnight deadline most other webcomics use.

I have heard some things about lists like "thewebcomiclist" that make me think there flagging may not be entirely kosher, but its all conjecture and hearsay.
