I like this comic. It reminds me of Escher. no, the Escher inspired comic would've been the Rlyeh storyline!!! this one in particular

ah, well you see i find that part of the challenge of writing the comic; that i have to anticipate what "plot-holes" the readers are going to question me about, and resolve them before they do. remember, i'm pretty much do all my writing as i go along (ie. on production nights), with no more than a general idea of where the overall plot is going. sometimes i'm lucky and the writing goes smoothly. i think you can guess how ell that's been working for me lately.

so, here's a little tidbit of information for y'all:
drawing that single panel comic took me just as long as it probably would've taken me to draw a regular 6-panel comic. ie: i started at 9pm and finished around 1:30 am. i did stop twice because my neck has been hurting me lately (and hunching over my drawing table doesn't help it), but i usually stop once or twice when doing a regular comic, so the actual time spent working was probably pretty close.
so you may think i wussed out with the "easier" single panel, but the only thing that was "easy" about it was the fact that i only had to come up with one line of dialogue!

just a tidbit of information for y'all about the most recent comics; i've been making heavy use of layers (if you couldn't tell), and the most recent one had the most out of all of them so far -- seven seperate layers to be precise. The base layer has the Matrix-esque distortions, next was the fifth panel duplicated, which enabled me to place the virus Alison is fighting on the third layer "underneath" her but still "above" the walls, fourth layer had the bulk of the comic as i drew it, fifth layer had the virus in the second panel and it's speech balloons, sixth layer was for the lightning effects, and then a topmost layer was the actual text the virus was speaking. no wonder it took me forever to color this one!!!

although it might not be readily apparent, this recent comic was done in two sections then copy & pasted together. The reason why i wan't happy with how it turned out is that the bottom section came out much more in focus/sharper than the top, and when i tried to sharpen the top, it got all "ugly" due to sharpening artifacts. i'm going to re-color it as one combined image first, then reduce it. The reason i didn't do that in the first place is because i've noticed my computer has been running slowly (and occasionally crashing) when processing the full-scale images with multiple layers. i think i may need to get some more memory if i'm gonna keep this up.
