uh yeah... to be perfectly honest, i'm not really sure where this whole "trapped in the game" plot is going.  i think i may have over-extended myself.  i've got some weird ideas for stuff to happen to them, but i'm not really sure if putting the gang into a surreal environment really jives with the whole "dangers of technology" theme i originally wanted to explore with this story.

eh, i suppose it's not the first time i've switched gears mid-story.

all kidding aside, it'll be dealt with in a future storyline.  i'm just not sure when i'll be getting to it.

no, i already know what that's going to be - i plan on making a re-telling of the first two/three years of the online version.  i would really prefer it to be in a book format (like maybe half the size of yer standard manga paperback, or 90-100 pages thereabouts)

so for the most recent one, i decided for a change i'd draw the comic in a 2x3 layout, rather than my standard 3x2 layout.  i dunno why, i guess because i wanted to have the panel layout in a different arrangement.

Obviously, the game has gone rampant, much like Durandal did.  It's going crazy!

Actually, that'd be pretty cool!

Seriously, I'm guessing the game's being hacked into.  Or maybe Beerman's presence has made it drunk...

shhh... Leela wouldn't like you talking about rampancy.  She's got a bit of a sore spot about that.

Attacked by writer's block?  Ouch.  Yeah, I hate writer's block.  When I want to write, I want write, blast it.

Anyway, sorry about the WR thing.  Hope you get over it soon.

well, it wasn't exactly Writer's Block, but more of a creative block, in which i couldn't get my ideas translated to paper the way i wanted them to.  Honestly, i'm still not 100% happy with what i did eventually come up with, but i've long ago learned to compromise somewhat when it comes to my comics. especailly when i'm past a deadline.

I had that bad by the time I quit my comic. I wrote 4 strips for each one I created.  Getting the idea into a drawing is 90% of the work. Hard work too.

i actually found the more confined i was to a layout, the harder i found comics to me. i found the ability to create more complex layouts easier for that reason.

Like that one?

I like this comic.  It reminds me of Escher.

I think all the extra work you put into this latest comic, Rudi is worth it. The extended or open format you used captured the confusion of moment.
