Dude, your line art has improved incredibly. I always figured that you were getting better, but this is astonishingly better. Wiht no colouring, compared to the deathworld comic volume 1, thisis amazingly obvious.

see, you're not the only one who has mentioned that the B&W versions of
the comic looks better. Is it just that my coloring doesn't really help the artwork
much, or am i just bad at coloring?  But i know what you mean about the line-art
improving, i'm at the point where i want to "re-release" the earlier comic books
with my current artwork. Likely what i'll do is make a "Special Collectors Edition"
or something, wherein all the comic book stuff is compiled and renewed.

Not what i ment. Although you're no lyn valerie, your colouring is nice, and gives the comic depth. what got me was the fat that this is some of hte first B&W line art of you;rs ive sene in a good long while, and by god, did it show ho much you;ve improved since you started.  I just hadent noticed how much.

okay, i gotcha. i guess i was just a little more sensitive than usual what with
more than a couple of comments made about the preference for the B&W
art.

*shrugs*
odd. i haven't done anything different.
at least, nothing i'm aware of.

but thank you for the compliment!  Smile

actually, i was thinking today, and i think one of the reasons why my line-work
has improved recently is the Comic Jams i've been going to at my local comic shop.
Trying different styles and techniques under time constraints certainly has helped.

Heh, thats cool, all that happens at my "local" comic shop (its really like 20-25 miles away, well thats to the edge of the town, then you gotta get in on the park and ride bus) is the staff (different students every week, never ever ever with natural hair colours) stand about at the counter reading comics and talking about thier white-stripes-look-and-sound-alike bands and disinterestedly grunt the price in your direction when you come to pay for something XD
